Abstract
Implicit surface reconstruction is one effective way for the purpose of surface modeling from point data. Implicit surface model is suitable to smooth surface representation and precise construction details of the object. However, the model requires high memory cost depending on the complexity of the surface. In this paper, we propose a method for data compression of implicit surfaces using the technique of wavelet transform.
