Abstract
Recently, design of characters has become diversified with the spread of the computer. As a representation of the characters, there is a design of characters with pictorial depth cues. This paper arranges pictorial depth cues and collects a large quantity of characters with pictorial depth cues. Then, on the basis of subjective evaluation experimentation, we classify the general representations of characters with pictorial depth cues and analyze features of solidity and a sense of depth that are given by those characters.
