Abstract
We previously proposed a new calculation method for computer-generated holographic stereogram based on multi-view displays. The proposed calculation method does not require diffraction calculations. Holographic stereograms can be calculated by adding phase distributions of spherical waves to parallax images. In this study, we discuss the relationship between the number of viewing points and the resolution of parallax images based on the sampling theorem. We experimentally verified the derived relationship. An SLM with a resolution of 1,920×1,200 was used. We generated 10×5 viewpoints with an interval of 4.7 mm at the distance of 600 mm from the SLM. The resolution of parallax images was 192×120.
