Abstract

Currently, the construction industry in Japan is in a big environmental change phase, from the maintenance and survival by only conventional public works to becoming the era that requires active strategic planning. In the regional construction industry here in Kochi prefecture, the situation is even more pronounced. In this study, to discuss cases as by forming inter-organizational relationships with other organizations to attempt self-reliance in the lack of business resources in the regional construction industry, as well as considering the background and factors thoroughly. Inter-organizational relationship is a macro theory of organization and development formed by resource dependence perspective. In order to clarify that the "important connection" is a source of inter-organizational relationship in the regional construction industry, examine business resources from "important and relevant connection". Thus, derive implications for inter-organizational relationship formation in other regional industries not only from the regional construction industry.
