Abstract
An auto-stereoscopic system of large viewing area has been developed by using two FPR (Film Patterned Retarder) -LCD panels as a filter of circler-polarized light and a interlaced image display. Telecentric lights filtered by dot-matrix B/W pixel patterns of FPR-LCD could be focused to each-eye position by not only a lens-array/parallax barrier but also a one-dimensional fresnel lens. Slanted lines of lens or barriers have become invisible by suitable diffuser sheets. As a result, a stereoscopic image of high definition could become shown in a 47' High-vision display.
