Abstract
We developed an instrument for measuring the longitudinal chromatic aberration (LCA) in three different wavelengths (561, 690, 840 nm) using Shack-Hartmann wavefront aberrometer. Switching three light sources consecutively, we can measure the LCAs of the human eyes precisely. The wavefront aberration is calibrated by using a reflecting model eye which has no chromatic aberration in principle and by using a ISO model eyes, of which lens designs were known. We confirmed that the longitudinal chromatic aberration of the human eyes can be measured with this method.
