Abstract
This paper describes an algorithm for automated motion analysis of axonal transport, which is widely drawn attention to because the axonal transport is related to neurodegenerating disease and safety evaluation of drugs. However some methods were proposed, they have merits and drawback of sensitivity and accuracy on particle tracking. In this paper, we describe a method which consists of local tracking using kymograph and particle location images, and global tracking based on genetic algorithm, in order to solve these problems. The experimental results to evaluate effectiveness of our method are also presented.
