Abstract
Immersive image projection has been studied that gives an immersive feeling by projecting images around a viewer. Immersive projection displays are large-scale and expensive systems. In order to project images around viewer, this study projects immersive images by installing a fish-eye lens in front of a projector. However, it is difficult to remove the distortion by the fish-eye lens on the projected plane. The distortion by the fish-eye lens becomes stronger near the edge of the projected plane. In this paper, we perform various geometric correction methods and project immersive images without the distortion.
