The inverted L antenna composed of the coplanar waveguide located on the same plane of rectangular conducting plane is proposed and analyzed numerically. When the size of conducting plane is 250 mm by 60 mm and the distance between the antenna element and the conducting plane is 25 mm, the return loss larger than 10dB is satisfied at the broadcasting frequencies from 485MHz to 625MHz. The voltage reflection coefficient, the current distribution, and the directivity are investigated as the function of the distance between the antenna element and the ground plane. In the numerical analysis, the electromagnetic simulator WIPL-D based on the Method of Moments is used.
