Abstract
Authors have proposed a wideband printed inverted-F antenna. Although the frequency bandwidth of a conventional inverted-F antenna is approximately 10%, the proposed inverted-F antenna is wider than 100% by loading a rectangular element to the feeding element perpendicularly. However, this antenna has a problem of the radiation pattern. In this paper, by installing the trapezoid cavity behind the proposed inverted-F antenna the proposed antenna has unidirectional pattern and approximately uniform radiation pattern in the operating frequency bandwidth (2GHz〜6GHz). The frequency bandwidth of the inverted-F antenna with the trapezoid cavity is 97%, the gain are greater than 7dBi in 2GHz〜4GHz and 3dBi in 4GHz-6GHz.
