Abstract
In this paper, experimental evaluation of a three-element positive feedback type Push-Push oscillator array using injection locking technology is presented. The oscillator array consists of three Push-Push oscillators, two phase shifters and an injection circuit and it realizes a beam steering function with a simple configuration. However, the oscillation frequency changes when the output phase difference is changed. To solve this issue, we have tried to change the output phase difference at a fixed frequency by using an injection locking technology. In this study, characteristics of the oscillator array using the injection locking technology are experimentally evaluated. 220.4 degrees of phase shift was obtained between the adjacent oscillators at the synchronized frequency around 15 GHz. The phase noise was also improved by about 10 dB at 100-kHz offset frequency due to injection locking.
