Abstract
Coloration mechanisms of Ag deposition-based multicolor electrochromic device were investigated in terms of measurement of the actual absorption and actual reflection of the device. Integration sphere system was employed to estimate these optical properties. Morphologies of the deposited Ag nanoparticles were also investigated by FE-SEM. Color appearance of Magenta and yellow state of the device were dominated by absorption components. On the other hands, cyan state of the device was based on absorption as well as reflection components arises by formation of thin film structure.
