Abstract
A dichroic-dye-mixture theory for polarizers is proposed, On the basis of this theory, a dye-type polarizer with excellent optical characteristics and durability using new dichroic dyes was successfully developed. The newly developed dye-type polarizer is suitable for LCDs in automotives and digital signage use, which require both appropriate optical characteristics and durability.
