Abstract
We have proposed a new magnetic recording memory utilizing parallel aligned nanowires without mechanical moving parts, in order to achieve ultra-high data transfer rate for the requirements of future 8K ultra-high definition videos and three dimensional videos. An experimental magnetic nanowire memory element is constructed by fixing a magnetic recording head, in which a couple of writer and reader were embedded, onto a fabricated magnetic nanowire. We have succeeded in demonstrating the operational principle of the magnetic nanowire memory in this virtual nanowire memory. To increase the velocity of magnetic domains, we adopted magnetic nanowires with low magnetization materials. We succeeded in observing current-driven domains in nanowire by magneto-optical microscopy.
