A preliminary study on non-rigid registration of abdominal CT images using a lattice spring model

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a method of non-rigid registration of abdominal 3D CT images. We newly introduce a lattice spring model, which can obtain a more natural deformation field than our previous method based on local affine model. The previous and new methods are applied to 2-D artificial images and 3-D actual CT images, and experimental results are shown.
