Abstract
Adaptive interpolation filter (AIF) technology is the efficient coding tool to improve the coding performance. To reduce the complexity of AIF algorithm, low complexity approaches were proposed. However, those schemes resulted in coding performance degradation due to inaccurate calculation of filter coefficients. To overcome this problem, we propose a selective interpolation filter approach that selects an appropriate coefficient set among several pre-defined representative candidates.
