5-1 Highly Accurate Extraction of Facial Area and Parts for the Recognition of Facial Expressions

Abstract

Extraction of facial parts such as eyes, eyeblows, and mouth, etc. is executed based on its special relationship inside a facial area in most cases. Therefore, the facial area must be extracted as such as precisely before extracting facial parts. From this point of view, in this paper, a highly accurate extraction of faces and facial parts is presented.
