7-4 Space-Sharing for Immersive Video Conferencing System

Abstract

We propose a "space-sharing" system for immersive teleconference, where a participant is segmented, transmitted and synthesized to another space. This system is realized by adding an RGB-D camera to the existing teleconference system. A participant is segmented by exploiting depth data as well as RGB data to avoid segmentation errors in depth measurement.
