Abstract
We have proposed new storage devices utilizing current-driven domain wall motion along magnetic nanowire, in order to achieve ultra-high data transfer rate. From simulation for formation of magnetic domains in magnetic nanowire medium with a soft magnetic underlayer(SUL), it was shown that magnetic domain is formed stably when wide SUL is located under magnetic nanowire. Furthermore the use of SUL is an effective method of achieving a high speed recording.
