Lossless Re-encoding of JPEG Images Used for Fluid Flow Measurement Based on Bidirectional Inter Frame Prediction with Brightness Compensation

Abstract

For efficient coding of holographic images used for fluid flow measurement, we have proposed a two-stage coding technique utilizing a JPEG framework. In this paper, we introduce a technique of brightness compensation into bi-directional motion compensated prediction to exploit temporal correlations of the JPEG images.
