Study on Extracting a Color Signboard Area in Scene Images

Abstract

In a previous method, we have proposed a method for detecting a signboard area from the scene images. In order to improve processing speed and accuracy, this paper proposes an algorithm for extracting the signboard area in scene images, using image features. The experimental results showed clearly that the proposal technique can extract correctly two or more signboards in a scene image.
