Validation of algorithm implemented in 4K video quality evaluation equipment

Abstract

Last year, our developed real-time 4K video quality evaluation equipment which is able to derive the approximate subjective assessment test results that correlate highly with those of the results compliant with the DSCQS(Double Stimulus Continuous Quality Scale) method was reported. This paper describes the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm for both SDR and HDR video with 4K resolution presentation by comparing with the actual subjective assessment test results.
