Abstract
This paper describes the computer graphics (CG)-represented mouth patterns for place names by our developed synthesis system in Japanese Sign Language. In our synthesis system, the mouth patterns are made by combining the basic CG animations such as vowels, and by synthesizing the CG animations. About 130 CG mouth patterns of place names are generated by using our synthesis system and 20 mouth patterns randomly sampled from them are evaluated to be understandable by two of three native signers.
