Reports whereby incidental findings lead to a cancer diagnosis in patients who present to emergency departments due to traumatic injury are scarce. Two cases in which cancer was confirmed accidentally by visiting our emergency medical center due to trauma. Results suggest the importance of reviewing diagnostic imaging reports of CT scans for traumatic injury as it may be effective in finding previously unknown cancer. However, a report alone is not sufficient for a definitive diagnosis of cancer. Thus, specialists should be consulted immediately in cases when there are any abnormal findings on imaging.
