Abstract

A 22-year-old male fell down on a motorcycle with complaints of abdominal pain. After admission, symptoms gradually improved. But he got abdominal pain the next day after starting oral ingestion. CT scan revealed findings of traumatic intramural hematoma of duodenum. However the stenosis of lumen was severe, his vital signs were stable, therefore we chose conservative treatment. As a result, it was possible to discharge him from the hospital on the 36th sick day. Careful attention to the patient is essential, the amount of drainage from the stomach tube and appropriate image examinations are necessary to manage this disease.
