A male in his 70s who had history of cerebral infarction noticed an abnormal sensation in back of both feet, impossible to stand and walk and realized the disappearance of urination sense. The first spinal cord MRI showed normal image. After 9 days the third MRI revealed a high signal lesion at Th12 level on the T2-weighted image. He was finally diagnosed spinal cord infarction. Acute spinal cord infarction may show normal image of MRI at a certain rate. Thus, in patients with typical symptoms of spinal cord infarction should be consider to perform MRI repeatedly.
