Abstract

Facing an unprecedented situation, we have provided mental health support for health care professionals working in hospitals that tend to COVID-19 patients. During the first wave of COVID-19, our primary support was to help ensure their safety and security. We also acted as a liaison between staff members and their organizations. Through our experiences, we ascertained that we should conduct support activities corresponding to a crisis. Moreover, a perspective of community psychology, which considers organizations as systems, is valuable in developing effective interventions to preserve sound relationships between staff members and their organizations.
