Abstract

This case study aimed to assess the effects of two meetings, the first beginning with a supporter asking for help, and the second being a follow-up meeting. In Finland, Early Dialogue is regarded as a foundation of Anticipation Dialogue, and accordingly, it is executed first. This study examined the processes of these meetings utilizing Early Dialogue with facilitators. The participants comprised a supporter, parents of an elementary school boy who had difficulty going to school, two teachers, and two facilitators.

During those meetings, the supporter’s worries were assuaged and the relationship between the participants changed. The whole process influenced the relationships between the boy and his parents and the boy and his two teachers.
