Abstract
Nowadays, the number of patient who is affected with “Dry Mouth" is projected to be approx.800 Million to 3,000 Million. However, because the visibility with the public of this “disease" is lacking and most of the patients have little awareness about it,the patients themselves have no daily symptoms, and this often results in delays in its detections.
Hence,it is sometimes detected by symptoms of the secondary oral diseases attributed to Dry Mouth, and I believe that it is essential for dental personnel to improve our level of knowledge and understanding about it.I hereby introduce a case report of Sjögren Syndrome of a patient who came to my clinic about hemorrhage from gum, whose symptom was detected by an interview, periodontal treatments and dryness of oral mucous membrane found at a dental checkup in my clinic.
