Abstract
The cause of losing tooth is various. No treatment for a long-term period requires not just the prosthodontic treatment for a missing teeth, but also additional treatments.
The functional abnormality caused by loosing tooth contains many problems, such as the malposition of a teeth and the change in the mandibular position. In such cases, the comprehensive therapy is required. In the comprehensive dentistry the mandibular position is also important: it is likely that the occlusal relationship determined by the mandibular position affects the tooth caries treatment, the endodontic treatment, and the periodontal therapy.
Moreover, in some cases, it is difficult to stabilize the manidibular position by implanting artificial tooth, depending on the number, position and condition of the residual tooth. These cases require the dental implant in order to establish the manidibular position more properly.
In the present study, we report a case, in which we combined the orthodontictreatment with the dental implant in order to achieve the stabilization and functional recovery of the mandibular position.Your feedback is very welcome.
