Abstract

VLAN has enabled to construct the free network which does not need to consider restriction by the physical places. And it is used within the LAN of a university. In the network designed by this VLAN, several implementation and product which enable use of suitable VLAN according to a user’s qualification are researched and developed. Controlling in the physical port of a switching hub or controlling by the MAC Address of a user’s terminals are designed to use one of these two system. Therefore, with either one of the two’s composition, the correspondence to various use environment is difficult. We authors has proposed remote appliance control protocol RACP to model the function of information outlet system called PortGuard. And we developed PortGuard which applied wired LAN, wireless LAN and MAC Address base VLAN selection. In this paper, we introduce about the information outlet system which has a selecting VLAN function. And we show the problem in the existing system of VLAN selection of the case where it applies to an actual use, and we show the example of solution by this proposal.
