There has been no report on the resection of a chest wall abscess caused by candida albicans. The patient was an 83-year-old male who had undergone hepatic resection for hepatocellular carcinoma. In the postoperative course, he developed liver abscess caused by candida albicans. After PTAD and Voriconazole administration, his condition improved. Six months later, he became aware of chest pain and an elastic, hard mass in the rt. anterior chest wall. After computed tomography, a metastatic chest wall tumor derived from hepatoceller carcinoma was suspected. He then underwent chest wall resection and reconstruction. The pathological diagnosis was abscess formation caused by Candida albicans. We encountered a patient requiring the resection of a chest wall abscess caused by Candida albicans.
