The purpose of this study is to conduct a comparative investigation of the Japanese version of a creative personality scale for junior high school students and the original scale used in China, and to establish a creativity development model common to both Japan and China. A survey was conducted with 272 students from Junior High School A in Chiba Prefecture as the Japanese sample. As the Chinese sample, 238 students from Junior High School Z in Dalian, Liaoning Province, were surveyed. In Study 1, analysis of variance, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and t-tests were conducted for junior high school students in both Japan and China. The results showed that Chinese students scored higher on some variables, whereas no significant differences were found on others. In Study 2, multi-group simultaneous analysis was performed, and three factors were identified: Creative Thinking Ability, Creative Risk-Taking, and Creative Sensitivity. Based on these findings, a creativity development model for creative personality applicable to both Japan and China was constructed. The results confirmed that an interrelated model of creative personality development is common to both countries.
