Abstract
In the current assessment method of liquefaction based on FL, reduction factor of the seismic shear stress ratio rd is given as a function only for depth from ground surface. However, it is known that the seismic shear stress is dependent on the earthquake motion characteristic and non-linear site response characteristics. In this study, the method of evaluating the reduction factor rd of seismic shear stress is newly proposed from strong motion record. The tendency of the seismic shear stress which occurs in the actual ground can be reflected on the assessment method of liquefaction by applying the proposed method to a large amount of strong motion record.
