Abstract

The study aims to clarify the outcome process for students participating in Coupling Internship (CIS). The authors analyzed parts of the students’ reports with a KH Coder text-mining software and clarified the effects of career education in a previous report. In a multifaceted verification of the educational effect of CIS, we analyzed the same reports with M-GTA to clarify the outcome process. Students who took part in CIS with a desire for growth and career awareness formulated their outlook and path to global success through corporate practice experience and collaborating with other students. From the clarified process, we established the following; 1. Necessity of opportunities to practice academic, global, and employment in university life; 2. During CIS activities, there are differences in building relationships due to differences in attributes (different cultures, different fields), and the effects of these differences are also different, and 3. The elements of establishing a prospect and a path to becoming a global human resource at the time of reflection. From the perspective of improving the quality of the program, a higher educational effect can be expected by paying attention to the following three points: (1) help in building smooth relationships among students, (2) selection of practical themes that can be easily linked to the real world (companies) and teamwork, and that allow students from different fields to work equally, and (3) provision of sufficient time and environment for students to be evaluated by a third party. The results will serve as a reference for future studies.
