Abstract

The objective of this research is to study an expectation and Satisfaction of the Physical Environment from patients in Orthopedic Care Unit, Maharaj Nakorn Chiangmai Hospital. These factors of the Physical Environment were used to finds a practical guide to designing and improving department surrounding, following by Orthopedic inpatient's expectation and satisfaction level by the Physical Environment factors, these are the factors related high physical and mental illness Orthopedic patients' perception as the result of the risk of losing an important organ. In generally, in term of hospital healing service, the physical healing balance was concerned more than mental healing balance. Therefore, from the questionnaire shown that the patients have a low level of satisfaction and high level of expectation for Physical Environment in Orthopedic Care Unit. So, this research revealed that the hospital department surrounding and environment in Orthopedic Care Unit of Maharaj Nakorn Chiangmai Hospital should renovate hospital surrounding to suitable for development of environmental quality plan in Maharaj Nakorn Chiangmai hospital, including increasing of treatment quality and decreasing of inpatient treatment duration.
