Research on Activation and Renewal Strategy of Historical and Cultural Street Based on Space Syntax: Wei Fang Fangzte Eurotown Historical and Cultural Street as an Example

Abstract

The concept of space activation offers a wide array of theoretical guidance for the old city renewal of spatia I structure. Moreover, the technical method of space syntax provides a quantified indicator system for such urban renewal. This dissertation based on the ory and method of space syntax, has provided quantitative analysis and interpretations for the historical and cultural city blocks of Fangtze Eurotown in the aspect of conyenience, accessibility, recognition and symbiosis. Meanwhile this paper put forward some feasible suggestions for the activation and renewal of the city blocks, which can also recover the vigor and vitality of it.
