The Urgency of Green Building Regulation through IMB (Permission of Building's Construction) in Bandung City

Abstract

The green building regulation is a new requirements for The IMB (Izin Mendirikan Bangunan) or Permission of Building's Construction in Bandung City for whom who will build a building. This study aims to know how much the urgency of green building regulation through IMB in Bandung City. The green building has a positive impact for the environment, the Bandung goverment issued this regulation in 20 14 and will be implemented this regulation in early 2017. Green building has six categories from Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCl), this research will Conservation, Water Conservation, aterial Resources and Cycle. Indoor Health focused on Energy Eficiency and and Comfort, and Building Environment Management, This paper analyses the urgency of green building regulation for saving the energy in Bandung City and focuses on two critical issues: (1) How to response the climate change with green building (2) Why green building important to response the energy consumption in worldwide.
