Abstract
Aim: To verify the educational effectiveness of the "Educational Electronic Health Record (E-EHR)" in IPE at the faculty of health and human services by a pilot study. Methods: A pilot study of the case study exercise using E-EHR was conducted with 29 fourth-year university students. Educational effectiveness was analyzed using qualitative research method based on focus group interviews. Results: Six categories were identified from the interviews: “usefulness of electronic devices”, “clinical and logical thinking process”, “acquiring the foundation for self-learning process”, “enhancing IPW”, “the role of DX in the field of health, medical and social care”, and “dealing flexibly with various clinical situations. Conclusion: There was various educational effectiveness, including the promotion of IPW and the acquisition of professional thinking and behavioral skills, in the case study exercise using the E-HER.In the future, other studies will be conducted to clarify its effectiveness.
