Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the support of social life for the elderly stage by analyzing the survey about the users in the small-scale multi-care facilities. 1) Users are single-person and couple households, nursing care level is low. 2) The facility usage varies depending on the family structure and the degree of care required. The motivation for using depends on the judgement of the children. The reason for choosing the facility is closed to the current residence. 3) The service area is widening. 4) The elderly to live near their children is a strong tendency. About 40% of near facility are used. 5) The small –scale multi-care facilities have important roles and significance, this depend on local circumstances.
