Abstract

At present, some terminal stations in the Tokyo metropolitan area are promoting accessibility, and guidelines for guidance signages are doing provided. In general, a walking experiment in real space conducts the research method for the signage. However, there is a problem that it is difficult to analyze a movement restricted person, and pedestrian congestion cannot obtain evaluated. Therefore, the signage effect is not apparent. For this purpose, this study assessed the visibility of three types of signages in virtual space. In this study, we solved the problems in the existing research and clarified the visibility of three kinds of signs. As a result, the knowledge about the induction characteristic of the signage was obtained.
