Abstract

The objective is to clarify the facility layout and guidance (location, type, and combination of guidance signs) that will encourage families with infants to use general toilets. By displaying information about facilities for infants and young children not only in front of restrooms but also in front of elevators and on the floor ceilings, it is possible to guide people to nearby restrooms that have the necessary equipment. If information displays are installed, the private booths for infants and toddlers located near the entrance will be easy to find, making it difficult for infants to get lost and choosing the toilet most smoothly. Even in private booths located deep from the toilet entrance, installation of information displays can improve the ease of toilet selection.
