Abstract
Green heulandite (Nashik districts, India) was investigated to study its origin of color. Fe, Mg, K rich green inclusions were observed in the matrix of transparent heulandite crystals. The inclusion was determined as nano-crystalline of aluminoceladonite (Mica group) by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) together with energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis. Fe-K XANES spectrum shows most of Fe atoms in green inclusions are tri-valent state and octahedrally coordinated.
