Abstract

We describe the lawsonite decomposition textures found in garnets of the UHP Tlc-Grt-Cld schists, Makbal complex, northern Kyrgyz Tien-Shan. Garnet porphyroblast contains polyphase inclusions (PI) mainly consisting of Czo + Qtz + Ky ± Pg ± Mrg, Czo + Pg ± Chl and Czo + Cld ± Pg ± Chl. We suggest that these PI are products after lawsonite decomposition during isothermal decompression at lower pressure (16-22 kbar and 510-590 ºC).
