The Oman ophiolite is a sliver of the Neo-Tethys oceanic lithosphere obducted onto the Arabian plate during the late Cretaceous time. Felsic to intermediate rocks in ophiolite suites are classified into three stages; high-level intrusive rocks of axis stage, late stage intrusive rocks, and granitic rocks associated with obduction stage. We investigate petrochemistry and U-Pb zircon ages of granitic rocks associated with obduction stage. These granitic rocks are considered to be generated from partial melting of metamorphic sole (basal metamorphic rocks).
