Abstract

Trace element and isotopic micro-analyses were carried out for plagioclase crystals in Mafic Magmatic Enclave (MME) and granite in the Shodoshima Island, SW Japan. The results of the analyses suggest that the granite-derived plagioclase crystals were captured into basaltic melt and were partially melted. The process of the mixing between granite-derived crystals and basaltic magma can be a key to understand complex chemical evolution paths of the mixed rocks.
