Abstract

The deformation micro-textures of MgO single crystals shock-compressed along the different orientations were observed under TEM to examine the different behaviors of deformation depending on the compression of the different orientations. The sample shock-compressed along <100> demonstrated only the {110}<110> slip system of dislocations, while the sample shocked along <110> displayed the {100}<110> slip system in addition to {110}<110>.
