Abstract
Ordinary chondrites were examined focusing on the practical classification from powder X-ray diffraction patterns. Olivine compositions from the empirical formula correspond to each chemical group. The types of 3 and 4, 5&6 are distinguished from the peak of the low-Ca clinopyroxene. The relative intensity of troilite to kamacite is useful for the distinction of chemical group. This would be applied for the irregular shaped ordinary chondrites.
