Abstract
Post metamorphic mafic dyke was found on Skallevikshalsen, LHC. The dyke cut host gneissosity obliquely, and contains small pieces of gneiss as xenoliths. The dykes are holocrystaline. Some constituent minerals, especially biotite flakes are commonly aligned to parallel to the trend of the dyke intrusion. Grain size of the minerals is ranging 0.5 to 3 mm, and some kind of minerals were coarsened from margin to center in the dyke. The dyke rocks have much incompatible elements, especially LIL elements. The dyke rocks are finally regarded as minette.
