Abstract
This study was conducted to quantitatively understand element mobilization during hydrothermal alteration. Oyasu Gorge is located in the south of Akita Prefecture, which is an active hydrothermal area. We collected samples with measuring the distance from hydrothermal vent and analyzed their major and trace elements. The proximal rocks indicate increase of Na, Si and decrease of Ca, Sr, Rb and Mg on isocon diagram. On the other hand, the distal samples show Na, Si decrease, while Mg, Ca increase. Black parts in proximal rocks show Ni, Cr and Zn increase.
